This course supports youth workers in strengthening their skills to guide and counsel young people in using ICT and social media in a safe, informed, and balanced way. Participants will explore the risks and opportunities of digital technologies, with particular attention to young people with intellectual disabilities and their experiences in building interpersonal and sexual relationships online.
The course provides practical tools to recognise signs of digital sexual harassment, respond appropriately, and promote positive risk-taking in social media use. It also empowers youth disability workers to confidently apply and replicate the educational programme in their own practice.
